“NO MATTER HOW LONG THE WINTER, SPRING IS SURE TO FOLLOW"
— PROVERB —

This month I'm sharing some of my favourite orchestral works with you. The list includes pieces from ballet works to symphonic masterpieces and everything in-between.

I have well an truly indulged my love of sweeping strings and emotional charged music while creating this month's playlist. Creating it has also brought back some lovely memories of concerts I have been to over the years as well as visits to the ballet. So it has been a complete pleasure to do.

Listening and watching an orchestra play live is one of my most favourite ways to spend time and something I have greatly missed over the last year. This playlist serves as the is the next best thing; recordings of stunningly beautiful works played by the world's finest orchestras.

I've chosen each piece for its uplifting and evocative sound world. There are pieces that instantly bring a smile to my face from the first couple of notes e.g. Morning Mood by Edvard Grieg from his Peer Gynt Suite. While others sooth and remind me of long summer evenings in the garden such as The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Then there are those that bring the memories and joy of evenings in wonderful theatres to mind such Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.

I look forward to sharing a bit more about each piece and why I love it throughout the coming month.

with love,
Samantha
