I seem to feature Ólafur Arnalds' music more than any other for my P+Q's! It is for two simple reasons;
1) I love pretty much every piece of music he's written and want to share it with you.
2) I think that his unique style of 'neo-classical' music is perfectly suited for this series with its beautiful sense of calm and space.
Some might argue it's too simplistic, but I believe that there is great beauty in simplicity - especially in this complicated world of ours.
Ironically simple music is often difficult to play as it requires great technical skill and musicality to avoid it sounding boring and repetitive.
This is another reason I love it, Arnalds' makes you really think about what you want to say when you play his music and encourages you to be a better musician in order to realise it.
